Dr. Cameron T. King attended the University of Kansas and the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He then completed his family practice residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He has practiced in the Austin and Cedar Park area since 2001. Dr. King and his wife, Debbie, have three children, Isabelle, Anwen, and Emilia. Dr. King's interests include family activities, physical fitness, boating, wakeboarding and hydrofoiling.
Dr. King serves on the Primary Care Advisory Board at Round Rock Hospital, as well as, the Local Advisory Board for Sanofi Pastuer.
Dr. Brent Cardwell attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine where he received many honors including an award as the top student in Neonatology (care of newborn babies). Following medical school, Dr. Cardwell completed his pediatric training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. There he was given the award for teaching excellence as voted on by medical students. Dr. Cardwell is active as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Cardwell has lived in Austin since 2001 and is married to Dr. Jennifer Cardwell who is also a pediatrician. They have two daughters, Grace and McKenna.
Dr. Joe Orgeron attended Louisiana State University and the Louisiana State University School of Medicine. His family practice residency was completed at East Jefferson General Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Orgeron enjoys sports, especially soccer, golf and watching football. Recently married, he and his wife Aida are very happy to be in Cedar park.
Betzi Mathew, MD is board certified in pediatrics. She attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and did her pediatric residency speciality training at Texas Childrens Hospital. She has been practicing in Austin since 2003. Dr. Mathew and her husband, Tony, have two daughters, Rekha and Anjali. She enjoys hiking along the greenbelt and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
Dr. Jennifer Cardwell is originally from West Virginia. She attended Wellesley College in Massachusetts where she graduated summa cum laude. There she was awarded Phi Beta Kappa and was chosen as the outstanding collegiate senior in the Biological Sciences Department. From there she returned to her home state to attend medical school at West Virginia University. While in medical school, she was in the top 5% of her class and was awarded Alpha Omega Alpha (national honor medical society) and also was given an award as the fourth year medical student who most strengthened clinical medicine through empathy and compassion. After medical school, she completed her pediatric residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. This is where she met her husband, Dr. Brent Cardwell. She is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her hobbies include reading and cooking. She and Dr. Brent Cardwell have two little girls.
Dr. Lisa Hutchens went to college at North Texas State University in Denton and graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. She completed her pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Hutchens then spent 3 years working at the Choctaw Nation Indian Hospital in Talihina, Oklahoma. While her husband completed his sports medicine fellowship, she was a clinical instructor in the ambulatory care clinic supervising residents and medical students at the University of Alabama Children's Hospital in Birmingham. In 1991 the family moved to Austin and Dr. Hutchens chose to stay at home and care for her then young children. Since 1996 she has practiced pediatrics part-time in the Austin / Round Rock area.
Dr. Hutchens participates regularly in continuing medical education programs and has recertified twice with the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Hutchens is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Hutchens is married to Dr. Mark Hutchens and they have 2 grown children, Jared and Alana. She enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and sports as well as keeping up with her kids!
